Evanescence Series

Exploring the Fleeting Beauty of Life’s Quiet Moments

Section image

Evanescence is a series shaped by atmosphere — by what fades, dissolves, or hovers just out of reach. These paintings are rooted in impermanence, like a memory that lingers but never fully returns.

Working with soft tones and layered transparency, I sought to evoke something intangible: light at dawn, fog rising, a landscape seen in passing. There is silence here too, but it is lighter, more melancholic than tense.

Evanescence reflects the quiet poetry of time — the way moments blur, shift, and eventually become something else. These works are meant to feel like fragments: delicate, incomplete, suspended.

They are about presence, but also about loss — and the beauty of what cannot be held.
